A dream became reality in 1986 when a small group including Barry Sharp(Owner/President) pooled their resources and knowledge and created S & S Steel Services, Inc. to provide narrow slit coil steel to the metal industry. The company started in Muncie, Indiana with one slitter and in a very short time was profitable and running two(2) shifts. After several building additions, and the addition of two(2) more slitters, the company outgrew that location and relocated to it's present building in Anderson. Close to Interstate 69 just north of Indianapolis the company is situated on the primary north-south corridor in the Midwest. Today we operate a full compliment of slitting, strip cut-to-length, shears, and deburred edge equipment capable of narrow coils up to quarter(1/4") inch thickness.
